What makes a
connection worth making?

Observations on commercial fit, buying requirements and the work before an introduction.

01 / Requirements

Start with the constraint.

A supplier can look ideal on paper and still be unsuitable. Territory, capacity, specification, minimum order size and timing often determine the fit. Establish these requirements before assembling a shortlist.

02 / Qualification

A relevant business is not yet a live opportunity.

A company may buy a product regularly without wanting a new supplier. Research identifies whom to approach. Direct conversation establishes whether there is a current requirement and an interest in meeting.

03 / Introductions

Give the first meeting a purpose.

A prepared introduction explains what each party needs, what has been confirmed and what remains open. The first conversation can then focus on the commercial questions that matter.
